Because propane autogas is a clean, American-made fuel, there are a number of incentives to encourage adoption.

    Using Volkswagen Settlement Funds

    As part of Volkswagen's settlement with the federal government, the automaker created a $2.7 billion Environmental Mitigation Trust allocated to states to incentivize fleets to swap older diesel vehicles with new, low emissions vehicles. Propane autogas vehicles, especially school buses, are a smart way to use the funds to reduce emissions and costs in your state. Download this fact sheet to learn more about propane autogas buses and work with your Clean Cities coalition and state energy office to help get propane included in their plans.
